That's a picture of an angry elephant. He's angry because that pond is out of the peanuts that he likes. Stupid ponds.

There are eight games on the schedule for today with only one having any kind of real juice behind it. Your notable highlights for today:

  • Army at Syracuse: There are games in the Carrier Dome that are bigger -- Johns Hopkins, Virginia, Princeton -- but of recent vintage, there are few that the Orange want more than to defeat Army on its own carpet. The Black Knights sent Syracuse home early from the NCAA Tournament on a Sunday in May 2010. The Orange, assumedly, are still out to settle the score.
  • Jacksonville at Duke: Jacksonville isn't the equivalent of a teen idol, but they have some chops. The Dolphins' dispatch of Navy last weekend at EverBank Field showed everyone that they aren't going to take a step back after former head coach Matt Kerwick left for the assistantship at Georgetown. Duke better come proper or else John Danowski is going to be practicing his screaming voice.
  • Penn State at Notre Dame: Watching this is going to be like watching two tanks on an agility course.

This is your open thread for Sunday. I apologize for the clutter; you can't find good help these days. People should be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.

Also, if you haven't yet, give a "like" to College Crosse over on Facebook and make sure to give a follow @SexyTimeLax.
