College Crosse News.

Lacrosse is blowing up in Middle Tennessee. “Nashville and Middle Tennessee is booming. As people move here from all over the country, they're going to bring the interest for the sport with them. It's only going to go up."

Former Brown star, Jack Kelly, won the Major League Lacrosse Rookie of the Year award. “Kelly, now with the Denver Outlaws, is the first goalie ever to win Rookie of the Year, and carried a 12.55 goals against average and a save percentage of 54.5, which ranked 2nd best among MLL goalies.”

The annual High School Athletics Participation Survey conducted by the National Federation of State High School Associations just came out. Lacrosse posted some strong numbers “with 197,572 total participants to rank 10th in girls participation and 11th for boys.”

Lacrosse Magazine did a top 5 things to watch post in the upcoming MLL semifinals match-up between the Charlotte Hounds & the Ohio Machine on Saturday at 6:30 Eastern in Blaine, Minn.

Shout out to Jersey girl & Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez!! Laurie was a member of the US women’s gymnastic team that destroyed the competition in the team final on Tuesday. Her brother promised to take her to Wawa as soon as she got back home.
