Big news from Uganda Lacrosse.

The Uganda Lacrosse Association (ULA), in conjunction with the Kenya Lacrosse Association (KLA) and event sponsors, are excited to announce the details of the first annual East African 7s Lacrosse Championship. The all-day event will be held Saturday, August 13, at the Makerere University Rugby Grounds and will feature all of the top club teams in Uganda, including unprecedented visits from the Kenya U-19 boys' and girls' developmental teams.

Dartmouth hires former Northwestern assistant coach, Danielle Spencer, as new women’s lacrosse coach. Spencer was also a former BALLER at Northwestern where she won 3 titles (2007, 2008, 2009) and was runner-up once (2010). Spencer was also a two-time All-American & a three-time All-ALC player.

Empress Lacrosse aims to change Buffalo lax culture. “What we’re trying to do is create the culture here in Buffalo. We want kids to realize that getting together once a week and playing a few tournaments is not going to get us over the hump.”

“Major League Lacrosse has named Greg Gurenlian, faceoff specialist of the New York Lizards, the winner of the 2016 FOAthlete of the Year Award.”

What’s Up, Philly?

Eagles starting offensive linemen, Lane Johnson, got popped for a PED violation. Will have to sit out 10 games this season and is in danger of losing $35 million dollars on his new 5 year deal with the team in January.
(Ed. Note: This is going to be a rough season.)
