After a flight home from Albany, and staying up on Saturday night to watch the Big Ten final, the wake-up call Sunday at 5:30 a.m. seemed abrupt for an 8:15 a.m. Southwest flight to the Charlotte ESPNU studio. As always, some are elated, some are disheartened, and some are just confused. The 18-team NCAA Division I men's lacrosse tournament field is set, and the proceedings begin Wednesday with a pair of play-in games. The winner of Towson-High Point heads to South Bend on Saturday for a tilt with No. 1 Notre Dame, and whomever emerges between Marist and Bryant goes to the Carrier Dome on Sunday night for a date with second-seeded Syracuse.
