College Crosse Recap.

Hail to the Blue Jays! JHU clinched a B1G Tournament bid and improved to 8-4 on the season and 4-1 in the Big Ten after their 6 point win over Michigan. Though the game out of hand towards the end, Michigan persistently kept creeping back to keep things kind of close and even opened up the game with the 2-0 lead. However, Hopkins had a bit too much firepower for the Wolverines and outscored Michigan 19-11 the rest of the way.

(Ed. Note: KUUUUUUUUUUUHN!!)

JHU was led in scoring by Wilkins Dismuke, who poured in 4 goals on the afternoon.  Additionally, 4 other Blue Jays (Ryan Brown, Shack Stanwick, Cody Radziewicz, and Holden Cattoni) all finished with 4 points each.  Freshmen Kyle Marr and sophomore Patrick Fraser finished the day with 2 goals a piece as well.

Michigan had a phenomenal day from Kyle Jackson, who finished with 5 goals, including this BTB beauty immediately below.. This was Kyle's first game after sitting out the last four, and boy did he bring it. Additionally, Ian King and Sean McCanna finished the game with 2 goals and 2 assists each. Michigan was pretty competitive on the stat sheet, and actually had 5 less turnovers than Hop and cleared the ball better as well.

A good outing by the Wolverines who actually cut Hop's lead to 3 with 11 minutes in the 4th. However, Hop then got 4 out of the last 5 goals in the game to put the game out of reach. This is a tough Michigan team and I expect them to continue to improve in the years to come. But yesterday was a great day to be a Blue Jay.

Next Game.
