Here’s the College Crosse Team of the Week for Week 10.

Penn is having one of its best seasons in years.

With all of the excitement of Spring Fling, Tiger Woods’ Masters win, the NBA and NHL playoffs, and Game of Thrones this past weekend, certain things might have gone a bit under the radar. Don’t let Penn men’s lacrosse be one of those things. After dismantling Harvard, 26-13, on Saturday, the Quakers clinched a share of the Ivy League title for the first time since 1988 and continued their ascent up the national polls, currently sitting at the No. 5 spot on Inside Lacrosse’s Division I Media Poll. With another win next weekend in their home finale against Dartmouth, the Red and Blue would claim the outright Ivy title in a historic season that very few people could have predicted.

Some Orange highlights from their victory over North Carolina.

Brotherly sport.

The goal of every team sport is to teach players how to be good teammates. One local lacrosse squad in New Jersey is taking brotherhood to a new level, reports CBS2’s Steve Overmyer. Even on days when school is out, Ridgewood High School lacrosse is in session “You know, one town, one team,” said Ridgewood lacrosse coach Mike Pounds. “The kids take a lot of pride playing the game – playing for Ridgewood, and obviously their brothers are doing the same.”

Here’s a great video from Army.

With 500 faceoff wins for Maryland lacrosse, Austin Henningsen still isn’t satisfied.

Just after Maryland men’s lacrosse midfielder Bubba Fairman scored with three seconds remaining in the first half Sunday, faceoff specialist Austin Henningsen stepped to the dot. The draw was merely a formality. But as the horn sounded on halftime just after Henningsen scooped up possession midway through the 16-13 win over Rutgers, the senior had reached a historic milestone. Henningsen’s fourth faceoff win of the night gave him 500 for his career under coach John Tillman. He became the fourth player in Terps history — and first since 1999 — to reach the mark, proving to be a valuable asset for a program whose high-powered attack often turns extra possessions into additional goals.

What’s Up, PhilaJersey?

The inventor of the pickle sandwich had quite the week last week.

One week ago, South Jersey realtor Katherine Cohen was trying to get the word out about the bread-free pickle sandwiches that she sells at Elsie’s, a Haddon Township deli she opened with her husband about two months ago. Well, the word is now officially out. A viral Thrillist video on her pickle sandwich is up to more than 14 million views in just five days. Outlets like Buzzfeed and Bustle have taken notice, as has, er, Lance Bass. And on Monday, she was up bright and early to get to New York for a taping of Good Morning America’s Strahan & Sara. Naturally, we had to get her on the phone after the taping to learn more.

World/National News

Iconic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris, France was heavily damaged in a massive fire.

Notre-Dame cathedral, the symbol of the beauty and history of Paris, was scarred by an extensive fire on Monday evening that caused its delicate spire to collapse, bruised the Parisian skies with smoke and further disheartened a city already back on its heels after weeks of violent protests.

The spectacle of flames leaping from the cathedral’s wooden roof — its spire glowing red then turning into a virtual cinder — stunned thousands of onlookers who gathered along the banks of the Seine and packed into the plaza of the nearby Hôtel de Ville, gasping and covering their mouths in horror and wiping away tears.
