College Crosse's Weekly Media Poll Ballot

I believe in transparency. Here's the ballot I'm submitting this week to the media poll.

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

In the interest of transparency, here's how I voted in the Inside Lacrosse media poll this week. Some brief explanations follow the ballot.

COLLEGE CROSSE'S MEDIA POLL BALLOT: APRIL 13, 2015
RANK TEAM PREVIOUS CHANGE RANK TEAM PREVIOUS CHANGE
1. Notre Dame 1.
11. Georgetown 16. +5
2. North Carolina 4. +2 12. Ohio State 18. +6

19. Marquette 11. -8
10. Virginia 10.
20. Princeton 15. -5
  • New this week: Navy. Dropped out this week: Fairfield. Also seriously considered: Johns Hopkins, Lehigh, St. Joseph's, Richmond, and Marist (in no particular order). Lehigh had a hell of a week knocking off Princeton and Stony Brook, the but its hard to hide the six-game losing streak the team suffered through earlier in the year.
  • Marquette: Part of the Eagles' notable drop on my ballot is due to some course correction from last week -- I didn't consider Marquette's loss to Bellarmine on my last ballot -- and kind of reevaluating the entirety of the Eagles' resume this season. It's really hard to understand Marquette's universe.
  • 11-20: I honestly have no damn clue. Is Ohio State truly 12? Is Army that strong? These are 10 teams that are all 16th in the nation.
  • Virginia: The Cavaliers stayed in the top 10 for a simple reason: What team takes its place? I kicked around about six or seven ideas, and kept coming back to the 'Hoos in the 10th position. This season is weird.
