I've been a delinquent college lacrosse schedule poster. I'm sure you've been wandering around the Internet on your Internet computing machine wondering, "Are there college lacrosse games tonight? I'm so lost without College Crosse's -- usually wrong -- college lacrosse schedules. MOM, BRING ME A SANDWICH! NO, I DON'T WANT TURKEY! TURKEY IS FOR LOSERS!"
Anyway, the Big East Tournament is the only game in town tonight, so your options are limited in terms of whether you'll have an opportunity to point and gawk at the cockamamie insanity that has hung over the college game over the last few weeks. In case you missed it -- and shame on you if you did -- you can catch up on College Crosse's canonical material on the league's postseason by clicking this fancy highlighted text on this particular Internet computing page.
- St. John's at Notre Dame: The Johnnies almost made minds explode from Queens to South Bend during the Big City Classic in March and they'll get another shot at taking down the Irish this afternoon in Pennsylvania. Notre Dame is a decided favorite in both the game and tournament proper and a Red Storm victory would really throw the NCAA Tournament at-large picture into a blurry haze of confusion.
- Syracuse at Villanova: It is looking more and more like Villanova is going to have to win the Big East Tournament to get into the show; it's pretty clear at this point that Syracuse has only one bullet left in the chamber. When these two teams last met, Villanova used a second-half surge to pull away from the Orange and give Syracuse its first loss ever -- like, ever ever-- in the Big East. I don't know what Vegas is doing with this game (other than setting a line of "Good luck, you freakin' degenerate") but my gut tells me this should be close throughout.
