College Crosse's Best of October

10 stories that weren't totally crappy.

Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE

October is just about in the books, and that means only one thing: We're one month closer to having personal interstellar traveling machines, fabricated and sold at reasonable prices. The Jetsons wasn't just a cartoon, people; it was a documentary of what the future will definitely be. So, that's a good thing.

Other than that, it's time to recap 10 of the bigger and better stories that graced this fine Internet real estate over the last 31 days. Let's get it.

Nicky Galasso Transfers to Syracuse
There wasn't anything bigger in October than Nicky Galasso, formerly of North Carolina, deciding to high tail it out of Chapel Hill and take up residence in Syracuse for the 2013 season. Galasso has the potential to provide a steady feeding presence for the Orange and fill one of the gaps in Syracuse's attack as fall practices slide away and preseason practice looms on the horizon.

Different Kinds of Realities
In the Midwest, Joe Amplo is gearing up for Marquette's first run in Division I lacrosse. Off of the Potomac, Kevin Warne is working on getting Georgetown back to relevance, establishing a culture that the Hoyas seem to have lost over the last few seasons. They're different situations, but hold a similar theme.

Arnold Workouts Taking Over College Lacrosse
Death to the pedantic sit-up! Long live MET-Rx feats of strength!

Speculation and Speculation and Speculation
There's been some chatter about Minnesota potentially moving on up to Division I lacrosse, while an athletic director change at Boston College may open the door to big time lacrosse returning to The Heights. I'm in favor of both (I'm also in favor of vanilla frozen yogurt, because hell yeah!).

Et cetera
Some things don't bundle together nicely. These are those things.
