Return to greatness: Syracuse lacrosse has chance to bring back familiar feeling in 2020.
Just file this away for later. The first steps towards reclaiming a familiar championship feeling took place on Sunday for the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team. The Orange stomped on Hofstra and Vermont in scrimmage play, combining to score 28 goals in six quarters of action ...

#AnotherOne: National Lacrosse League continues sponsorship streak with AT&T deal.
The pact with AT&T will give the company the rights to the NLL MVP Award. The deal comes only weeks after the league struck a gambling partnership with MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings. Other deals include a renewed agreement with Team 22, the manufacturer of sporting apparel company Under Armour.

Charlotte North’s got the internet going nuts.
“I just wanted to get it out there,” Paul Carcaterra said. “I didn’t think it would go as viral as it has.” It is the five-second clip Carcaterra tweeted on Tuesday of Boston College junior attacker Charlotte North of Dallas, Texas. It’s more spellbinding than a Luka Doncic assist or an Ezekiel Elliot touchdown run. It’s the type of highlight you have to watch more than once to fully appreciate.

Penn State men’s lacrosse determined to remain unaffected by increased expectations.
Much like the final stretch of the 2019 season, Penn State finds itself in relatively unfamiliar territory to start the new year. Sure, the Nittany Lions have had expectations before. They were the 11th-ranked team in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine 2019 preseason rankings before working their way up to the top spot in every poll by midseason.
Games begin in less than a week. Let’s gooo!

From the Times Union: UAlbany lacrosse star in favor of new athlete-pay rules.
The NCAA is in serious discussions to allow college athletes to profit off their name or likeness. That would be a welcome development, according to University at Albany men’s lacrosse star Tehoka Nanticoke, who had to sit out a game last season because of concerns over his amateur status.

Raymond James health care policy analyst Chris Meekins said he suspects official Chinese statistics on coronavirus infections is “really a fraction” of those who actually have contracted the disease — in part because of the country’s established history of underreporting its public health crises.
