Let’s goooooo: College Crosse 2020 Preseason Top 20 Poll.
It’s almost here! The 2020 season begins in less than two weeks and everyone at the site is really excited to get this party started. To kick off the new season, Jake, Ryan, Adam, & I got together over the weekend to tape our 2020 College Crosse Preseason Top 20 podcast.
Michael Kelly of The Daily Gazette with a nice article on Albany’s Jakob Patterson.
For nearly all of the team’s fall-ball season, UAlbany men’s lacrosse senior Jakob Patterson was sidelined with a knee injury. That provided him with plenty of opportunity to watch his teammates in action. He liked what he saw.
Oh boy. This is not optimal news for Hop fans.
Defenseman Jack Rapine is no longer with the Johns Hopkins program, multiple sources tell @College_Crosse. The Blue Jays now lose two starting defenders from last year, counting Patrick Foley.

Someone call the NSA: ATV riders damage lacrosse field in Bensalem Township; investigation underway.
Owners of a Lower Bucks County athletic club say the damage to their fields is extensive after ATV riders came through after the weekend snowfall. With spring soccer and lacrosse just weeks away from starting, they are still hoping to get the fields ready in time.

Lehigh took some time away from the field to practice dealing with the media.
US Lacrosse Magazine previewed North Carolina.
This fall, one of North Carolina’s top attackmen started his days with football practice. It was easier last year for Nicky Solomon, when football was in the afternoon. He’d go to morning lacrosse practice, knock out his two classes for the day then head over to football.
Back to work!
Good morning, Tar Heel fans

Here’s a great post on Trevor Baptiste.
Trevor Baptiste is one of the most popular lacrosse players on the planet, with his record-setting exploits at the college and professional levels putting him on the short list of the greatest face-off specialists in the history of the sport.
MLL Commissioner Sandy Brown Sounds off on MLL’s changes.
An oft-repeated theme in the landscape of professional lacrosse is “change,” and Major League Lacrosse is no exception. For the second offseason in a row, the league is undergoing drastic changes.

What’s Up, New PhilaJersey?
Blessed: The Philadelphia Wings help make cancer-stricken teen’s dream come true for a day.
Talk about getting to live the dream. A high school freshman spent Sunday as a member of a professional lacrosse team. He signed a one-day contract with the Philadelphia Wings, but his mission isn’t to be an honorary player, but to bring awareness of cancer.
World/National News
Shout out to Andy Reid: The Chiefs will meet the Forty-Niners in Super Bowl LIV.
The inside of a typical N.F.L. stadium is inundated with pennants and banners celebrating landmark championships of all kinds.
But at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, there is only one such decoration visible. Fluttering from a flagpole at the west end of the stadium’s upper deck, beneath an American flag, is a small, unpretentious white pennant.
