Circle These Dates

  • 2/14 at Richmond: A battle of the MAAC and SoCon conference champions from a year ago, and the first all-time meeting between these two teams. Both teams will have some holes to fill, with Marist looking to replace a senior-heavy starting close defense.
  • 2/25 vs. Hartford: Last year’s mid-week February contest was a back-and-forth affair, with the Red Foxes coming from behind late to win by a goal. Marist’s defense did allow Ty Thompson to get a hat-trick and four assists. He returns and will probably be spearheading the Hawks’ offense.
  • 3/14 vs. Quinnipiac: This will be a rematch of last season’s MAAC title game, which saw the Red Foxes hold on for a one-goal win. Marist also won the regular season matchup in Hamden, Connecticut by four goals. No MAAC champion has repeated the following season since Providence in 2006 and 2007. They’re now in the Big East.
  • 4/4 at Siena: Could Siena be a dark horse to win the MAAC? They had a relatively successful first year under new head coach Liam Gleason, and the Saints will look to reach the MAAC Tournament in his second season. Marist doubled up on Siena 10-5 in the second and third quarters in last year’s matchup.
  • 4/14 at Utah: After a road trip to Detroit Mercy, the Red Foxes continue to go west as they visit the Utes for the first time ever. Utah is very capable of pulling off an upset of Marist, and they did it a few times last year. Marist then heads back east for a Saturday home game against Manhattan before ending the season against St. Bonaventure.
