The 2017 NCAA Lacrosse season may have ended weeks ago, but College Crossecast rumbles forward with a look back at the past season and a very special interview.
On this edition, we grabbed former Land Grant Holy Land editor and SB Nation college head honcho Luke Zimmerman before he left SB Nation for good to talk some lacrosse (2:14). We obviously talk Ohio State, but also his lacrosse playing days and the growth of the sport in Texas. There’s also some talk about this very blog so there’s that for you as well.
From there, Safe, Chris, and I cover the latest in lacrosse news since we left you two weeks ago (43:33), including Matt Rambo winning the Tewaaraton and the latest on the Michigan coaching vacancy. Chris then shares his experiences in Foxborough for the Final Four (58:57), which is really great if you want to know about the press box food. We then hand out our 2017 superlatives (1:14:53) and look back on the season that was, as well as taking a little peek into 2018 with our storylines to watch and our ridiculously early top 5’s (1:30:19). We then do the obligatory sentimental stuff at the end thanking all of you because seriously, where would we be without you? You know, besides being a lawyer, video manager for a top-tier photography studio, and a college student.
Subscribe as usual on iTunes and Google Play, because even though we’re doing a bit of a year in review episode we’ll still be cranking out new episodes all summer long. You can also listen on Podomatic or by clicking play in the player below.
