College Lacrosse Headquarters: Schedule, Streaming Links, & Open Thread (February 28, 2015)

Today's schedule, links to streams and live stats, and more.

This feels right:

Here are your three highlights for today:

  • Harvard at Duke: The hype excitement on Duke's campus today is probably built around the Syracuse-Duke hoops game tonight at Cameron Indoor, but there's a pretty solid appetizer in Durham with the Crimson visiting the Devils at noon. Harvard is coming off of a shaky performance against Massachusetts last weekend, needing a late surge in the final period to put the winless Minutemen away in Cambridge. Duke, contrastingly, is pivoting from a dominating win against Mercer and looking to create some momentum after a tough loss to Denver in Georgia in the second week of February. This is a big-ish moment for both teams that could help shape each team's volition through March could.
  • Princeton at Johns Hopkins: Today marks the 85th time that Princeton and Johns Hopkins will meet; the Tigers and Blue Jays have split their last 10 meetings with the visiting team winning six straight non-neutral site games between the two programs. There is legitimate heat around this thing in 2015, and not just because each program will enter the game in a ranked position (every meeting between the Tigers and Jays since 1993 have featured both teams ranked in the national polls): Hopkins could use a marquee nonconference win with just three high-caliber opponents remaining on the team's slate (at least at this point of the year); Princeton is starting a tough stretch of Hopkins-Maryland-Penn and could use a win this afternoon to launch itself into lacrosse space. Must win may be an aggressive way to characterize this game for both teams, but it is a big spot for both the Blue Jays and Tigers.
  • Albany v. Cornell: This, basically:

This is your open thread for Saturday. I have a weird affection for those pretzel-and-fake-cheese sandwich snacks. People will be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.
