Here are your highlights for today:

• Midwest Classic Lacrosse Weekend: This is a pretty cool idea. Featuring four schools from an area of the country that may or may not exist (are there things west of the Hudson River?), Bellarmine will host a festival-style event over the weekend that will feature doubleheaders on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. The field isn't perfectly balanced -- that kind of comes with the territory when an event is built around programs located in a nontraditional area of the country -- but it's still a pretty solid moment for lacrosse not only in Kentucky but also in the region as a whole. Most of the focus on the event will happen at the end of the weekend when Marquette meets Ohio State -- kablammo! -- but tonight's matchups are, at worst, mildly intriguing. Send Bellarmine a nice Edible Arrangement -- maybe the one with the special dipped cantaloupe -- for putting this thing together.
