Penn face-off man Kyle Gallagher and defenseman Kyle Thornton are set to play at Notre Dame as fifth-year grad students in 2021, multiple sources have indicated to Inside Lacrosse.
Welcome to Back with the Squad, a new series where we’ll reunite past Maryland teams over video chat. On the second episode, Lila Bromberg brings members of the 2017 Maryland men’s lacrosse team back together over a Zoom chat. This group of Terps made history by winning the program’s first national championship in 42 years. They also won the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.

The craftsmanship of old wooden lacrosse sticks has always fascinated Derrick Crough. His father Gerry Crough was a trainer for Peterborough senior teams in the 1960s and ‘70s so Derrick, 45, was always around the game.

Dating back to the 17th century and becoming more and more popular in America each year, the game of lacrosse has become one of the fastest growing sports. The state of West Virginia first produced a lacrosse team back in the early 70’s but it wasn’t until recently that the sport started to develop across the state.

With Memorial Day — the unofficial start of summer — only 18 days away, Gov. Phil Murphy said Thursday night he expects New Jersey’s beaches to reopen by then, with some restrictions, even as the coronavirus continues to grip the state.
An extreme weather pattern is setting up for Mother’s Day weekend that will shatter dozens of temperature records, wring out strange May snow in the interior Northeast and possibly set May pressure records both in parts of New England and northern Canada. This weather pattern would grab the attention of meteorologists in the middle of winter, much less the second weekend of May.
