It’s a much different Memorial Day weekend than we’re used to with the COVID-19 pandemic gripping our lives. One of those things is the lack of the NCAA Lacrosse championships taking place. But never fear, there’s plenty to talk about off the field. And that calls for a new episode of COLLEGE CROSSECAST!
In this edition, I’m joined by Safe and Jake as we go through the major news of the lacrosse community. We mourn the loss of Furman from the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse ranks, take a look at what might be on the horizon in terms of challenges for the sport, and review a long list of transfers since we last recorded. Then we answer your questions from Twitter, react to some breaking news over Rashad Devoe taking over the job at Amherst and leaving Hampton, and saying some thanks to Safe for all he’s done as editor-in-chief of our humble site. Here’s the timecodes for you to listen:
2:40- Furman Shuts Down Men’s Lacrosse
11:50- Other Dominoes to Fall?
39:40- Coaching Staff Updates
45:55- Transfer Updates
1:02:45- Mailbag
1:45:15- Kudos to Safe
1:54:30- Devoe out of Hampton to Amherst
