Hey everyone, I want to pass along some site news today. We are looking to hire a new manager to help with College Crosse. Additionally, after we’ve settled on a new manager we will probably be looking at bringing in some new writers as well. Don’t worry, I am not going away or anything, but I will be taking a step back from running the day-to-day operations of the site.
I joined College Crosse in 2015 as an unpaid contributor and took over the site in January 2016 after Hoya Suxa stepped down. Running the site has been one of the best experiences of my life and I’ve greatly enjoyed every minute of it.
However, I got a new job in April of 2018, moved out of Philly, and in December of 2019 I was promoted. I am not in the same position personally or professionally as I was in 2015/2016 and we need some new blood around here to keep things fresh. While I love everything about running the site, it’s been a bit of strain balancing it and a full-time job, especially since I moved to Trenton in 2018 and I don’t want the site to suffer because I don’t have as much time as I did before.
So the cat's out the bag. It's me (@Eri_Barrister)! Hope you've enjoyed the 2016 Tweets so far. pic.twitter.com/YDYO8eUmXe

Moreover the site has grown immensely since I took over in 2016. Back then we didn’t have a podcast, we had somewhere around 2,600-2,700 Twitter followers, and we were a fun and respected but niche site. Now we have a successful podcast, we crossed over 10,000 Twitter followers yesterday, and Division I teams link to our stories, tag us on Tweets, and put out press releases for our All-Freshmen Team. Getting bigger, as Marlo would say, is one of those good problems, but it also means knowing when to look for help and bring on new people as well.
10K. Truly blessed. pic.twitter.com/xvRt4i7DP4

Things have definitely changed for the better and readers/followers of the site deserve someone who can devote more time to helping the site grow, bring on new writers, and try new ideas to keep the site crisp and innovative. Therefore in a day or so, you’ll see a post on the site explaining how you can apply for the manager position. SB Nation will be running point on the hiring, but I encourage anyone interested to apply. If you have any questions, please feel free to hit me up on Twitter or the comments section.
As always, I’ll see you out there.
