Jacksonville looked like they were going to screw with everyone’s top 20 polls that some did on Saturday night. Luckily, the Buckeyes came just in time to avoid more chaos in poll voting! There is a god, and his name is Tre Leclaire.

Game Recaps
- The Jacksonville Dolphins exploded with four goals in the second and third quarters to take an 8-6 lead entering the final frame. Ohio State scored three goals to stay in the game late, before Tre Leclaire took over. The sophomore cut the Dolphin lead to one with 1:34 left before a very late Jacksonville turnover resulted in a quick clear from Logan Maccani and Leclaire’s second goal of the afternoon to send it into overtime. Fittingly, Leclaire was ready to end the game from another Maccani assist. Jacksonville had Jeremy Winston lead the way on offense with five tallies.

- In a Reverse Survivor-off, the Marist Red Foxes were able to hold off Binghamton, 8-7. The game was pretty even for the most part, but down three goals, the Bearcats scored two goals in eight seconds with under 2:30 left in the game. But the Red Fox defense did not break in the final 2:12 of regulation to seal the victory. Joe Tierney had two goals and two assists for Marist, while Stephen Petrelli scored a hat-trick with two assists for Binghamton.
- Out west, the Denver Pioneers took care of Cleveland State, 17-8. That was expected, but what wasn’t expected was Trevor Baptiste’s ridiculous performance. Or maybe it was expected. He went a perfect 22-of-22 from the face-off X with 13 ground balls. His 22 wins were the second most face-off wins without losing a draw in NCAA history. Ethan Walker added four goals and two assists in the win.

Three Stars
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ - Jeremy Winston, M, Jacksonville: The freshman midfielder put up five goals for the Dolphins. He may have been the first star of the day if Jacksonville didn’t choke their lead late in the game against the Buckeyes.
⭐️⭐️ - Trevor Baptiste, FOGO, Denver: It’s pretty easy. He went 22-of-22 on draws with 13 ground balls. I wish he was able to get a goal or two in the easy win over Cleveland State.
⭐️ - Tre Leclaire, A, Ohio State: Leclaire did not play a big role in the first 58 minutes of the game. Then, he turned it on scoring the Buckeyes’ final three goals to tie and win the game. That’s what you call coming in clutch.
