We have 22 games today (Quinnipiac vs. UMass Lowell has been postponed until Sunday), so buckle up for a long day of lacrosse. Our first big weekend of the new season! The first game begins at 11:30 AM, with NJIT facing off versus Lafayette. Chris is working today at the Syracuse game at 1:00, so our College Crosse Game Day Live Stream is up in the air right now, but I will update this post with a link to the Facebook Live stream if/when it becomes available. For now, check out Chris’s second Power Rankings for the 2018 season.
Update: The College Crosse Game Day Facebook Live show will begin at 10:00.

You can find today’s Big Board directly below. Clicking on the team name will take you to that team’s homepage. Clicking on the Stream cell will take you to the broadcast of that game, while the Live Stats cell will take you to the live stats of that game. Almost every game today is going to be available via stream or on tv (shout out to the Blue Jays). I couldn’t find the Live Stats link for several of today’s games, but I will fill in the spreadsheet if/when more become available. Without further ado, let’s go to the Big Board!!

Games To Watch
- BU vs. Ohio State: This will be a very interesting game for the Terriers. Ohio State did lose several pieces from last year’s record-breaking team, but they are still a very formidable opponent. If BU really wants to make some noise this year, beating OSU in Columbus early in the season is one way to get everyone’s attention.
- UVA vs. Loyola: Three out of the last four games in this series have been decided by one goal, including last year’s very entertaining 16-15 UVA win that was aired on Twitter. I expect this one to be another tight game.
- Johns Hopkins vs. Towson: This will be the third game between top 20 opponents on the docket for today. The 6:00 PM start means it’ll probably be a chilly one at Homewood, but luckily most of us will get to see this one from the comforts of home/or on a mobile device. I expect Hopkins to come out pretty strong and test some of Towson’s new starters. But the Jays will need to contain Alex Woodall at the faceoff much better than they did last year, otherwise Hop’s in for another brawl against Captain Nadelen’s crew.

Here’s a great Maryland hype video.
Here’s a nice article about Duke’s Justin Guterding from Newsday.
Justin Guterding has stood and cheered with Duke’s Cameron Crazies. “I’m a huge basketball fan and that’s quite an experience,” he said with a laugh. But that’s not why the former Garden City lacrosse star chose to attend the elite university located in Durham, North Carolina.
“I came here to win a national championship” Guterding said. “That’s the only thing I really care about.”
That’s no bull. Venerable coach John Danowski calls it “the white elephant in the room.” Guterding’s senior class is the first at Duke since 2004 not to have reached the sport’s Final Four on Memorial Day weekend at least once.
“I thought I might win a few national championships, but obviously now I only have a chance to win one,” Guterding said. “I’ll be quite upset if I don’t win any.”
Here’s a game preview of today’s UVA vs. Loyola game.
BU’s ready for their Ohio State test today.
The No. 20 Boston University men’s lacrosse team will travel to Columbus, Ohio this Saturday to take on No. 7 Ohio State University.
Coming off a thrilling 12-11 overtime victory against Providence College at home, the Terriers (1-0) are looking to win their first road game against the Buckeyes (1-0).
“ … There are a lot of positives from Saturday,” BU head coach Ryan Polley said. “I think we beat a really strong team who I think will have a really good season.”
The Terriers graduated their first senior class last year, who propelled the team to its first ever Patriot League tournament berth. Additionally, BU’s progression was so swift that it sent two players, attack Cal Dearth and defenseman Dominick Calisto, into the Major League Lacrosse.
This year, in the fifth season of the program, the Terriers have welcomed a large number of fresh faces. As such, veteran players like senior attack Jack Wilson and senior midfielder and faceoff specialist Joe Stucky will be relied upon to provide some direction.
