Circle These Dates

  • 2/16 (at Siena): A tough loss for the Statesmen against the Saints last season. Hobart scored five goals in a little over a 10 minute span to tie the game at 11 with 12:13 left to play. But Siena’s Keenan Cook scored the game-winner with 3:06 left to play to give the Saints a one-goal victory.
  • 2/26 (at Colgate): This was a wild turn of events when these two teams played last year. The Raiders led 8-2 at the end of the first quarter in what looked like a big win for Colgate. But down four goals in the fourth quarter, Hobart stormed back with a 5-0 run to take a one-goal lead before Joe Delaney tied the game at 11 for the Raiders. The Statesmen would prevail with Justin Scott’s sixth goal of the day with 3:23 to play.
  • 4/2 (vs. Syracuse): The longtime series has been Hobart’s biggest game of the entire season, dating back to when the Statesmen were in Division III. The Orange have dominated lately, but that doesn’t mean the Statesmen can pull off the upset, which they did in 2013 as a 6-8 squad. It’ll also be the first time the game is in Geneva since this.
  • 4/6 (at Saint Joseph’s): With the Hawks losing a ton of production on offense this year, it could help the Statesmen return to the NEC Tournament. This was a low-scoring 6-5 loss in Geneva that saw both goalies made 15 or more saves. Sam Lucchesi made 18 saves in the loss, while Mike Adler recorded 15 for St. Joe’s.
  • 4/20 (vs. Mount St. Mary’s): Hobart lost three conference games by one goal last year, which does hurt in a conference race like the NEC. After a 6-0 Mountaineer run, the Statesmen scored seven of the next eight goals to tie their game at 10 in the third quarter. Hobart also nearly overcame a 4-0 run with a 3-0 run to end the game, but couldn’t get the tying goal in the final 2:34.
