We’re back with this week’s installment of the College Crosse Top 20. You can find a link to last week’s post here. We had a wild weekend, let’s try to sort through all the madness! To the Big Board! (Ed. Note: We returned to one Big Board this week, but added an extra 1-20 column to help keep things orderly.)

Comments.

Jason “DLB” Myers.

Army: Could probably be a spot or two higher, but beating Cuse is a good way to get into the mix.

Duke: Like ND and Towson, I'm not impressed with most of Duke's early schedule, but they did play Denver already and that was close for most of the game. Still, they have two losses so the back of the pack still feels right to me.

Brown: That was not the type of loss Bruno wanted to see. High risk/high reward didn't pay off this week.

Stony Brook: I guess all those senior losses from last year aren't hurting the Sea Wolves too badly this year, eh?

Albany: That Connor Fields BTB fake.... slaying Dragons.

Richmond: Stony Brook: I guess all those senior losses from last year aren't hurting the Sea Wolves too badly this year, eh? Albany: That Connor Fields BTB fake.... slaying Dragons.

Penn: Yes, UVA is still higher, but the win gets Penn into the top 20.

Boston: Taking down Navy was huge. Cue the Van Morrison for Jack Wilson!

Towson: Like ND, not the most impressive wins considering the competition, but the Tigers are still playing with house money from last year.

Rutgers: Now with defense! Only allowing 3 goals against is impressive. Not shut out impressive, but still good.

Syracuse: Same thing as UVA, but for Syracuse.

Loyola: Hounds did what they should have done vs. Lafayette.

UVA: A one-goal loss in the dying moments isn't enough to sink UVA.

Yale: Nail biter with Maryland. This may be too severe a penalty when thinking about the context of that game, but it's still early.

UNC: Six isn't a horrible fall from grace, but getting smoked by Hop isn't doing them any favors.

Notre Dame: Both wins over weaker teams, so this may be a bit higher than I'd like them, but with all the losses this weekend it will work for now.

Penn State: Offensive juggernaut gets daps until proven otherwise.

Johns Hopkins: En fuego. The Tinney factor is real.

Denver: Shutout is a shutout. You can't cry parity and then discredit a shutout.

Safe.

I’ll save most my comments for the Aggregation, but I will say that Hopkins at #1 feels so right.
