Lacrosse is booming so much in Saskatchewan after the Rush came to town that the city’s having a problem servicing all the interest for lacrosse space for clinics and games.

An “explosion” of interest in lacrosse since the Saskatchewan Rush came to town last year highlights the need for dedicated lacrosse space in the city, says the man who coordinates “try lacrosse” clinics for the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association.

What’s Up, Philly?

New Orleans got Boogie but Same Hinkie the Sixers are the real winners of the last night’s Sacramento & New Orleans trade.

So why are Sixers fans celebrating the deal? Thanks to a 2015 trade by then-general manager Sam Hinkie that sent the rights to Arturas Gudaitis and Luka Mitrovic to the Kings, the Sixers received Nik Stauskas, Carl Landry and Jason Thompson, acquired a future first-round pick and earned the right to swap first-round picks with the Kings in both 2016 and 2017.
The Sixers didn't swap picks in 2016, and the pick swap looked to lose some value this season on the back of a recent win streak by the Kings. But without Cousins, Sacramento is likely to lose steam over the remaining 25 games, increasing the chances of the Sixers ending up with a top-3 pick in the 2017 NBA draft.

Cookies and sugary drinks served at government meetings are about to go away. So are imported noodles and canned fish served in tourist bungalows.

Taking their place? Local coconuts, lobsters and lime juice.

While many governments struggle to ban soda to curb obesity, the tiny Torba Tourism Council in the remote Pacific island nation of Vanuatu is planning to outlaw all imported food at government functions and tourist establishments across the province’s 13 inhabited islands.
