Wagner beat Lafayette yesterday 9-8. We have everything you need about the game here. Here are the highlights of the game.

Our man Orange Lax with his week 2 taking the odds post is up. Also read his preview of today’s Syracuse vs. Albany game.

Definitely read the Baltimore Sun’s Edward Lee’s post on today’s Hop vs. Loyola game.

Johns Hopkins owns a decisive 47-6 advantage in this series, but Loyola Maryland has won the past three meetings. Five of the past 10 games between these Charles Street rivals have been decided by one goal with the Blue Jays going 4-1 in those contests against the Greyhounds.

Here’s a great article on Denver’s super frosh Ethan Walker.

Ethan Walker isn’t a middle linebacker, and he has no affiliation with the Heinz family that makes tasty steak sauce in Pittsburgh. He’s just a University of Denver freshman trying to make a name for himself.

By donning No. 57 for DU’s top-ranked men’s lacrosse team, the left-handed Canadian took an available number he hopes to make popular within his game.

“I thought if I wore that number, maybe everyone would want to wear that number someday,” Walker said. “Just a quick split-decision on picking 57.”

I'm about to apply to Amherst after watching this Amherst Lacrosse trailer for their game vs Bowdoin.

The Albany Times Union with a nice post about the Danes season-opener versus Syracuse today.

The Orange eliminated the visiting Great Danes 11-9 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last May.

"To turn around and play them again at the beginning of the season, I think it's kind of a good thing, because we were able to actually watch film from last year," UAlbany coach Scott Marr said. "It's still pretty fresh in our minds as far as that was our last game, so a lot of the guys who are returning know the feeling of playing there, know that feeling of losing to them last year when we really had a good chance of winning that game."

What’s Up, Philly?

It appears a Jersey Shore re-up is not going to happen. (Ed. Note: As a Jersey boy I am a bit conflicted. I LOVED the attention but didn’t appreciate the fact none of the original cast were actually from NJ.)

Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules" is a spinoff of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" about the staff of a West Hollywood restaurant.

Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz said Seaside Heights won't support a series that depicts it negatively. He said the town is trying to move beyond the raunchy image that "Jersey Shore" showed.

"We're not looking to promote a series that contradicts our family image," Vaz said.

World/National News.

I don’t believe it: “No Time For Gym? 30 Minutes *A Week* On Stairs Just As Good.”

Is too much time at home or work keeping you away from your local gym? Good news: a new study finds that all you need is a staircase and 30 minutes a week to give your body a great workout.

The findings were published in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, and conducted by researchers at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. The study shows that intense bursts of exercise for short periods of time can be critically beneficial for one’s heart health.
