Two UMass Lowell women's lacrosse players suffer serious injuries in a moped accident in Martha's Vineyard. One player had to have her leg amputated at the scene of the crash.

C6 Composites is getting into the car game:

"As automakers seek new sources of lightweight carbon fiber parts, one company known mainly for producing lacrosse sticks could establish itself as a player in the market. C6 Composites said this year that it would manufacture carbon composite materials at a 10,000-square-foot factory that opened in October in Roseville., Minn., owned by Epoch Lacrosse, its parent company."

"The new sports complex just south of Temple’s Main Campus is nearing completion ... The $22 million project, started in September 2015, features two playing fields. The space for field hockey and lacrosse, at the southern end of the property by 13th Street and Girard Avenue"
