To celebrate lacrosse's August Dark Period (Ed. Note: Shout out, Univeristy of Michigan Football head coach, Jim Harbaugh) we thought a "Stick To Lax" pod would be a lot of fun. In today's episode we talked about the all the craziness in Philadelphia last week for the Democratic Convention, Summer Movies (Flops/Hits), & current events. We also discussed the Olympics and some of our favorite memories of the quadrennial sporting event. (Shout out to our favorite Brazilian College Sports Blog, @TheFraternityBR)
(Ed. Note: Lacrosse was an official sport in the the 1904 & 1908 Olympics. Canada won Gold both times. "It was also held as a demonstration event at the 1928, 1932, and 1948 Summer Olympics. In 1928 and 1932 the United States was represented by the lacrosse team from Johns Hopkins, and 1948 by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I.).")
The #Rio2016 uniforms will be unveiled tonight! Here's what the lacrosse team wore at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. pic.twitter.com/EreCqa2DgS
