2014 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament: Championship Game Schedule, Open Thread, TV Details, and More

Welcome to the end. Will there be an incredible plot twist?

Rob Carr

The year started 114 days ago with Lehigh-Furman and High Point-Delaware opening our eyes to the potential of the 2014 season. After 500-plus games, Duke and Notre Dame -- teams that started in the top five of the Inside Lacrosse media poll (the Devils were in the pole position) -- will decide the year's ultimate champion.

Here is your highlight for today:

  • The Friggin' Tournament: Memorial Monday! Unless some existential dance fighting breaks out on the field at M&T Bank Stadium, creating a tear in space-time that would force brains to leak out of ears, the likelihood of SPRING SPORT breaking out is minimal. Instead, Duke and Notre Dame will run around with tire irons and bash their opponent's skulls in, a final dash through the blurred light of reality before the lacrosse universe meets its temporary end. Get yourself straight with some blindingly important stuff before the game starts this afternoon:

Here's Monday's full schedule. If there are errors, please let me know. I'll fix/populate links to live stats and video as the day progresses (if necessary). ESPNU will carry a special postgame show after the conclusion of the game.

COLLEGE LACROSSE SCHEDULE: MAY 26, 2014
UNSEEDED SEEDED TIME (ET) LIVE STATS VIDEO
(6) Notre Dame (1) Duke 1:00 P.M. LIVE STATS VIDEO ("Traditional") // ESPN2 ("Traditional") // ESPNU ("Spider Cam")

This is your open thread for Monday. Thank you to all the veterans out there that make being an American the best. People will be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.

Also, if you haven't yet, give a "like" to College Crosse over on Facebook and make sure to give a follow @SexyTimeLax.
