There are 32,768 ways the bracket can go starting today. (There were 131,072 ways the bracket could have broken starting with the play-in games earlier this week.) If every person in America -- all 314 million deep-fried, freedom-loving, Canadian-hating Americans -- took a stab at trying to figure out how the tournament will look from this point forward, there is a 0.01 percent -- not one percent, not one-tenth of a percent: one one-hundreth of a percent -- chance that somebody forsees the bracket unfolding perfectly. Hell, there are 256 different ways that this weekend could turn out.
This is going to be a fun three weeks.
Here is your highlight for today:
The Friggin' Tournament: The day starts in Baltimore and ends in Denver. There's a solid 10 hours of games on television today, featuring elite offenses, strout defenses, and the Thompson Trio ripping reality to shreads. Get yourself squared away before the accelerator is punched:
- A special first round edition of THE FACEOFF.
- Words about Albany-Loyola. The 'Hounds are the favorite at Ridley.
- Words about Harvard-Notre Dame. The Irish are the favorite at Arlotta.
- Words about Cornell-Maryland. The Terps are a favorite at Byrd.
- Words about North Carolina-Denver. It's a toss-up game out in Colorado with the Tar Heels looking like a ridiculously strong unseeded team.
Here's Saturday's full schedule. If there are errors, please let me know. I'll fix/populate links to live stats and video as the day progresses (if necessary).

This is your open thread for Saturday. Best of luck ignoring people that actually want you to do things. People will be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.
