Alphabetical 2013 NCAA D1 Preview: Dartmouth
2012 saw Dartmouth go 5-9, but it wasn’t a season without bright spots. The Big Green got wins over Colgate, Sacred Heart, Penn, Holy Cross, and Vermont, and played six top 20 teams. Unfortunately, they lost five of those matches. A three goal loss to UNC and two 2 goal losses to Yale and Cornell boded well, but big losses to Duke and Princeton raised questions.
Alphabetical 2013 NCAA D1 Preview: Delaware
2012 saw Delaware go 6-9, and the Blue Hens pulled out big wins over Bucknell, Villanova, and St. Joe’s. Delaware suffered bad losses to Loyola, Hofstra, Towson, and UMass, and fell by closer scores to Penn State, Drexel, Hopkins, MSM, and Stony Brook. Delaware also got wins over Detroit, Mercer, and Michigan.
Alphabetical 2013 NCAA D1 Preview: Detroit
In 2012, Detroit went 6-9, and in 8 of those games they scored less than 10 goals. The Titans didn’t have any marquee wins, but the victories over Jacksonville, Canisius, and Marist were decent. The worst loss for Detroit was probably an 18-8 blowout by UNC.
Alphabetical 2013 NCAA D1 Preview: Drexel
The 2012 season saw Drexel go 8-8, and they played a truly tough schedule. Of their 8 losses, 5 came in their first 7 games, 7 came against Top 20 teams, 5 were by one goal (UVA, Bucknell, Bryant, ND, PSU), and 2 were by two goals. Drexel’s biggest win was a 13-11 rematch victory over Penn State.
