Buczek Heads To FIL World Championship With The United States U19 Team
Rising sophomore Connor Buczek continues his stint with the United States Men's National Under-19 Team as it begins competing for the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Turku, Finland. Team USA, which looks to bring home its seventh straight world championship, opens the tournament on Friday, July 13 when it faces off against Australia. The tournament runs through July 21.

There was plenty of drama in this year’s fourth annual Long Island Showcase, with both the Rising Senior and Rising Junior games being decided by one goal. A goal by Casey Hickey on a sidearm shot from the perimeter in transition gave Suffolk a 6-5 overtime win in the Rising Senior game. Needless to say, that performance led to increased recruiting interest in the Westhampton midfielder, who committed to Marist this week.
