There are 24 games on the slate today and none are bigger than tonight's mega-hyped Notre Dame-Syracuse battle royale. It's numero uno against numero [whatever "four" is in Spanish] in the most unique lacrosse environment in the country. ESPNU has the broadcast starting at 7:00 P.M.
To start you off we have the "Fun Factor" games and their runner-ups. Those aside, there's also a bunch of other interesting games happening all across the country:
- Towson-St. Joseph's: This is the Hawks' last chance for a victory in 2011. If they lose, the rumor floating around is that everyone will be sent to the stockade for punishment. That seems a little draconian, no?
- Wagner-Quinnipiac: Alright, Seahawks. A win and you avoid holding title to "Reverse Survivor" and "The Wagner Cup." A loss and you lock both up for what should be an unmatched record time.
- Vermont-Stony Brook: No time for a letdown out of the Seawolves. The Catamounts are just looking to end their season on a high note.
- Manhattan-Canisius: Just kidding. This game smells like old socks.
This is your open thread for the day. People will be around to yak about whatever is tickling their fancy.
