Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse projects to finish fourth for the upcoming Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) season, according to a new preseason poll for the conference coaches. In addition, senior Steven Schmitt and junior Mitchell Dunham earned spots on the All-Preseason team. The team received a total of 64 points in the poll. Marist and Manhattan were neck-and-neck for the top set, separated by two points and two first place votes. Siena also sits ahead of the Mount in third. Schmitt received a spot on the team as a Co-Long Stick Midfielder. The junior from Cambridge, N.Y. scored twice in nine games last season while adding a pair of assists. Both those scores came against Towson and both assists came in the win over Navy. He has played in 30 games with three career goals and was named Honorable Mention by College Crosse in his freshman year.
