Check out the trailer for ‘The Season’

We’ve gotten our first sneak peek at what to expect for “The Season”, which is a year-long multimedia project created by STX and Inside Lacrosse:

The series will be 10 episodes profiling the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Syracuse Orange. I’ve heard episodes will be about 20 minutes each.

All four teams are STX schools and sport STX pads, gloves, heads, and shafts. All but Syracuse sport STX Stallion helmets. Ohio State is the lone Big Ten school.

There were plenty of shots of Joe Breschi, Nick Myers, and John Danowski throughout the trailer, but John Desko was featured in a small sit down interview.

It’ll be interesting to see how teams adapt to a video crew at their practices and other events throughout the season, similar to Hard Knocks or the 24/7 series. Usually, it takes some time for athletes and coaches to get used to constant crews around them, but eventually ignore them and continue business.

We’ve already gotten a glimpse of crews around UNC:

We still don’t know about a few other details, such as if we’ll have a narrator or if it’s person-driven, and how close to each program the series will take viewers. Will they go into locker rooms before or after practice to show what happens with teammates? During classes? Inside where players live? Nightlife? Will we learn about individuals as well?

I’m excited to see how this turns out, and hopefully you might see a glimpse of your boy on there too for Syracuse portions.
