Yale beat Princeton in a very fun game in New Jersey yesterday.

Here are Princeton’s highlights from their game yesterday vs. Yale game.

Savannah Walker, a University of Louisville lacrosse player was slain at a concert last weekend. Her former team, Georgetown College, paid tribute to her memory on Friday night.

Syracuse.com with a nice article on Brendan Bomberry.

Syracuse lacrosse midfielder Brendan Bomberry had a great view of his team's celebration after an overtime win against Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

Since he was the player who scored the winning goal, Bomberry was right in the middle of it.

Bomberry might have been just as happy in a similar situation if he was still playing for his former school, Denver. But chances are pretty good that, as a supporting scorer for that team, he would have enjoyed that moment rushing in from the periphery and been nowhere near a central spot as the difference-maker himself.

"I don't think so, no,'' Bomberry said when asked if he would have been the OT option in Denver. "It's awesome to get the ball.''

The Testudo Times with a preview of the Maryland vs. North Carolina game.

The game Terps fans have had circled on their calendar since the start of the season is finally here. Almost a year in the making, Maryland takes on North Carolina in Chapel Hill for a rematch of the 2016 NCAA National Championship game. The last time these teams saw each other, the Terps watched the Tar Heels storm Lincoln Financial Field after an overtime goal by Chris Cloutier brought North Carolina its first national title since 1992.

The good people over at Anonymous Eagle did a preview of the Marquette vs. Georgetown game today.

It’s been two weeks since Marquette men’s lacrosse took the field. The last time we saw the Golden Eagles, they rattled off 11 straight goals against Robert Morris on their way to a 14-7 victory. That moved Marquette to 3-2 on the season after suffering two very ugly losses to Richmond and Ohio State.

Looking back on the season now with a bye week of space on top of those five games, it’s entirely possible that Marquette is actually a high quality lacrosse team that just happened to schedule themselves into a couple of buzzsaws. Take a peek at the latest Maverik media top 20 poll. Ohio State is #4 in the country with their 9-0 record, while Richmond is #12 at 7-1 after their victory over North Carolina. Richmond held UNC to just five goals in that game, while the Buckeyes limited Big East favorite Denver to just one goal through the first 42 minutes of a 16-7 win over the Pioneers.

What’s Up, Philly?

Yesterday was National Cheesesteak day!

National Cheesesteak Day, which sounds like an oxymoron given the sandwich's Philadelphia roots, will be marked by giveaways and specials on Friday, March 24. (On a Friday during Lent - a quirk of the calendar that has raised at least some eyebrows.)

World/National News.

Robots are going to “take over 38% of U.S. jobs within about 15 years.”

More than a third of U.S. jobs could be at “high risk” of automation by the early 2030s, a percentage that’s greater than in Britain, Germany and Japan, according to a report released Friday. The analysis by accounting and consulting firm PwC focused primarily on the economic outlook in Britain, but it included a section on automation in Britain and elsewhere.
