The sophomore made a career-high 18 saves, stifling a powerful Syracuse offense and showing why her teammates call her the "backbone" of the squad.

It was an extraordinary 11-10 triumph at windy Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium for the No. 4 Pioneers, who finished their rugged, season-opening six-game homestand 5-1. DU was upset 13-9 by visiting North Carolina on March 4. “Those guys were fantastic and it was all we thought it was going to be,” DU coach Bill Tierney said of the players on both teams Sunday. “We just didn’t how it was going to (end), but you always know it’s going to be a one-goal (game).”

A Saskatoon sports fan is finally able to watch her beloved lacrosse team, after strangers helped fund her purchase of special glasses. Bobbi Janzeen was born visually impaired with a degenerative eye condition. Despite having vision she describes as "foggy," Janzen has been an avid Saskatoon Rush lacrosse team fan. But her condition has meant she's never seen a game clearly before. She turned to GoFundMe in an effort to raise money to pay for eSight glasses, a device that allows people who are legally blind to see.

Hofstra canceled Tuesday game versus Cleveland St.

For the safety of both teams, fans and the University community, the Hofstra University Department of Athletics announced today that Tuesday's men's lacrosse game against Cleveland State will not be played due to the impending snowstorm expected to hit the Long Island area early this week. Winter Storm Stella is expected to dump 12-18 inches of snow on Long Island and blizzard-like conditions are expected as well. There are no plans to reschedule the game at this time.

Rutgers vs. Princeton has now been moved to Wednesday night.
