Skittles Scale!

I’m sorry, Chris, but that Michigan line DOES look good!!

Whenever LVL gives out a line to a non-Top 20 game, an angel gets its wings!!

Games to Watch

Maryland vs. Yale: Maryland’s lost two straight to Elis (8-5 in 2016 and 10-6 in 2015), so I am expecting the Terps to be sharp today. Ben Reeves left Yale’s game early last week but the Terps are preparing for him as if he’s going to play. While I love the Hop vs. UNC game, I have a feeling this is going to be the game of the day.

Hop vs. UNC: This appears to be a great game between two top 5 teams, but we all know UNC’s going to win, because they always beat the Blue Jays under BOSS Breschi. Since 2007 Hop has won 1 game versus UNC and that was all the back in 2011. I don’t see that trend line changing at Carolina this year.
(Ed. Note: To anyone saying I am predicting a UNC win as a reverse jinx, I would merely respond by saying that those SLANDEROUS accusations are very difficult to prove in court.)

Syracuse vs. Army West Point: This should be one of the best games today. “Syracuse has won five in a row, eight of the last nine, and 19 of the last 21 against Army West Point” but Army still leads the series 39-24. Despite the recent success, this series has been quite competitive. The two have played each other 5 times in the last 6 years, with the average margin of victory being 2.2. I expect this to be another 1 or 2 goal game.

Princeton vs. Hofstra: Whichever teams wins this one will be crowned 2017’s “Don’t look now, but you know who’s going to sneak up on teams this year, _________.”
(Ed. Note: HERE COMES, PRINCETON!!)

You’re gonna want to read @OrangeLax’s preview of the Army vs. Syracuse game.

GO BEARS!

H/T @OrangeLax for putting this article on my radar. Why they hating on the GAWD?!?!: The Gary Gait rule? NCAA likely to squash Syracuse women's lacrosse doubleheaders.

John Sung was a member of the NCAA Division I women's lacrosse tournament selection committee a few years ago when his fellow coaches in that sport got wind of what Syracuse's Gary Gait was doing. And the reaction of Gait's peers wasn't good.

Gait had noticed a loophole in the rules that allowed him the unheard of idea to schedule two Orange games in one day. The rules specified that teams were permitted 17 dates of competition, not a cap of 17 games. So Gait figured, why not get in a little extra work on a single date?

"Gary out-smarted everybody. Gary was the first person to think about it,'' Sung said. "Everybody lost their mind. People were like, 'Why is he doing this?'''

It’s the Captain!

CSU has everything packed and ready for their game at Denver.

Remember when BU beat Navy in double OT last year? I have a feeling Marisa does.

Great article by our man Quint: Sources of Coaches' Inspiration.

In speaking with some of the top coaches in lacrosse, common threads emerge from each, but one sticks out — they are never too old to keep learning, especially from leaders outside of the sport.

CBS Sports did a post on Bill Belichick’s visit to Hopkins on Thursday.

Still, given the success Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan, who played lacrosse at Penn State, maybe Belichick watches practice with a little bit more of a keener eye potentially looking for some help on the football field in the coming years.

Here’s our newest Crossecast from Thursday night.

BOSS Tierney chopped it up with Tyler Maun on this week's episode of the Bill Tierney Show on 1043 The Fan.

BOSS Desko & Evan Molloy preview Army.

Song of the Day.

We’re almost through February. It’s time to get serious. Let the bodies hit the floor out there today, boys.

That’s it for now. Games start at 11. I’ll see you out there!!
