Cornell released their 2018 schedule yesterday and boy is it a tough one.

Interim head coach Pete Milliman has announced the Big Red's schedule for the upcoming 2018 men's lacrosse season. The slate is an exciting one with seven home games, as well as a trip to Sparks, Md. to take on Penn State at US Lacrosse's Tierney Field. As always, the Big Red schedule will also feature the ever-competitive Ivy League conference games, several games with traditional rivals, five opponents that participated in the 2017 NCAA men's lacrosse tournament, and the ninth season of the Ivy League Tournament, slated to be played for the first time in New York City.

Sources & online clues strongly suggest that the new NLL franchise in San Diego will be called the Seals.

Shortly after the National Lacrosse League awarded a new franchise to the city of San Diego, the team announced a guess-the-name contest where fans could guess what the team would be called for a chance to win one out of ten prizes. Our very own Marisa Ingemi might have scooped everyone though, as yesterday she Tweeted that multiple sources told her that the new team in San Diego would be called the Seals ... Earlier today Jack Goods (@GoodsOnSports) of Buffalo News Sports, Tweeted out a great find by John Hoffman (@Corporal763). Hoffman posted on the IL Indoor forum page some logos filed with the US Patent & Trademark Office. These logos appear to be the primary and secondary logos for the new San Diego franchise. Indeed, the picture of the seal with a lacrosse stick & ball in his flippers was a dead giveaway.

Here are some highlights of Robert Morris’ scrimmage with Towson from October 21st.

John Hughes, Northwest Guilford’s athletics director, confirmed Goldsmith’s dismissal as lacrosse coach today and said he had already posted the job. Tina Firesheets, media relations program administrator for Guilford County Schools, said schools officials could not comment further, but she did provide documentation that Goldsmith’s employment status changed Thursday. She said a date for his personnel review had not been determined.

Finally some good news: WMGK's John DeBella to donate 1,000 baseball cards to youngster who lost collection in California fires.

After losing his collection of MLB memorabilia in the Santa Rosa, Calif. fires out West, one young baseball fan is learning the meaning of brotherly love courtesy of one on-air personality at 102.9 WMGK. Longtime morning show host John DeBella will donate more than 1,000 baseball cards to nine-year-old collector Loren Smith, a Santa Rosa, Calif. resident and huge Oakland Athletics fan whose family recently lost everything in a series of deadly wildfires that have devastated Northern California. Among the possessions lost in the fires were Smith’s baseball collectibles, which included rare items like signed jerseys, hats, and cards. Like most of us, DeBella says he heard about Loren’s story online. Except DeBella manager to do a little more: He tracked down the Smith family to announce his donation to the youngster on WMGK today.

Well this doesn’t sound terrifying or anything: Google to create its own neighborhood with weather management systems & flexible buildings.

Google is set to build a “new kind” of high-tech neighbourhood that will be unlike anywhere else in the world. The company has revealed radical plans for the town, which will be called Quayside. It will feature flexible buildings that can be completely reconfigured at speed, and Google will even attempt to “mitigate” the weather, to encourage people to spend more time outside. It’s an astonishing vision, which Google hopes to turn into “a blueprint for the 21st-century urban neighbourhood”.
