GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation!! Thanks for making us a part of your day! We got plenty to talk about, so let’s get going right away!
What You Missed
Ohio State had a great early scrimmage with the Hill Academy on Friday.
Lacrosse The Nation
Hey there were scrimmages yesterday! Let’s highlight some of them!
Marquette @ Michigan
The Golden Eagles edged the Wolverines, 15-14. Michigan took an early 5-0 lead after the first quarter. But Marquette began to climb back.

They trailed by one at the half, then things really got going for the defending Big East champs.

Could Michigan be finally taking that next step? They travel to take on Cleveland State to start the season in two weeks.
Also, Marquette BOSS Joe Amplo earned himself two wins yesterday in two different sports.

It appears we may need to keep a close eye on freshman Mac O’Keefe this spring, as he’s making great chemistry with Grant Ament and Nick Aponte on attack, pens Andrew Rubin of The Daily Collegian.
The Lions started the fourth quarter a man-up, and [Nick] Spillane cashed in to make it 12-5 just 20 seconds into the frame. A short while later, O’Keefe got his fifth of the game to make it 13-5 Lions.
The game was far out of reach, but Connor Smith scored his first of the day from the edge of the crease to make it 14-5 with just over 10 minutes to go. Over a minute later, the Midshipmen’s Drew Smiley answered with a goal of his own to make it 14-6.
The Lions had a long spell of possession after that, and Smith converted with 4:06 remaining to make it 15-6. Then, less than a minute later to add insult to injury, Jimmy Nowoswiat banked a shot in to give the Lions a ten-goal lead.
“I think it is important for our guys to realize this was a decent step, but it was just a minor, minor step in a bigger picture,” [Jeff] Tambroni said. “I think they are mature enough to realize that… We are going to be excited and have some fun with this and then move on and get ready to go back to work.”

There are at least four scrimmages going on today, including three between Bucknell, UMBC, and Virginia in Charlottesville. Notre Dame also hosts Bellarmine.
Moving on to LaxCon, specifically gear watch, because that’s the only reason why I’m interested in the weekend event.
Denver is showing off new swag featuring the Rocky Mountains.

Their rivals, Johns Hopkins, also have a nice new (but ugly because it’s a Stallion) bucket.
But this one, which debuted last year, is so much nicer and should honestly be the only helmet Hopkins wears.
Their rivals, Loyola, might be getting new jerseys.
Georgetown, Loyola, and I think Le Moyne Jacksonville in the way back have nice helmets too.
Here’s a closer look at Jacksonville’s bucket.

Navy also updated their helmet for 2017, and I definitely dig them.
Notre Dame has a new helmet too, and I’m honestly not a huge fan.
And finally, ALL THE FIRE EMOJIS!

Expect to see these throwbacks sometime during the season.
Finally, this AHL goal is fire (and the call is especially fire - h/t Barstool Jordie).
And so is this.

The younger you are, the more money you get if you’re an Uber or Lyft driver.
There’s also NFL football today. It’s for a trip to go to the Super Bowl, so it’s kinda big.
