GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for September 6, 2016.

College Crosse News.

Our favorite BU Hitter (@Marisa_Ingemi) with a HOT piece on the future of the NLL & MLL.

Despite these issues, lacrosse saw arguably its biggest year of growth in 2016. The MLL had an epic finish with a seven-way tie for first place, while the NLL had parity in both of its conferences. Georgia emerged as a southern hotbed while Saskatoon proved small markets can be developed into rabid fanbases. Where does lacrosse go in 2017?

Nice article on Westfield High School Assistant Lacrosse Coach Ivan Cohen and how his summer volunteering in the startup Israel Premier Lacrosse League.

A great long read (6 pages!!!) on the growth of the game in McHenry County, IL & Illinois in general.

Nice story about one high school’s efforts to raise money to field a lacrosse team.

Shout out, Leah Michel. Great comeback story.

There was a point where Leah Michel didn’t know if she’d ever be able to play sports again.

She was even more concerned if she would be able to walk after she suffered a rare stroke in her spinal column caused by a blood clot.

Still not 100 per cent, she has recovered to a point now where the first-year Trent University student is back on the field with varsity women’s lacrosse team.

Here's that @ABC/@GMA segment from yesterday morning on Welles Crowther.

What’s Up, Philly?

Great piece on the inner Allen Iverson.

World/National News.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. announced that his season was over because of ongoing complications from a concussion he suffered during a crash this summer.
