GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, College Crosse Nation! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for September 4, 2016.

College Crosse News.

Rize Up & Be Somebody: The Akron Zips posted a great hype video yesterday with scenes from the last handful of years.

BOSS Daly’s been busy at Brown. Coach announced the hiring of 3 assistants for the 2017 season. Joining the staff will be Brett Holm, Matt Callahan and Chris Schoenhut.

“Holm is reunited with Bears' head coach Mike Daly after spending the last four years as the offensive coordinator and recruiting co-coordinator for the Providence College men's lacrosse program.”

“ Callahan was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Tufts for two years, in 2015 and 2016, helping the Jumbos win the NCAA National Championship in 2015 and reach the NCAA National Championship game in 2016.”

“Schoenhut scored 139 goals in three years at Tufts, including a school record 80 goals in 2014 to lead Tufts to the NCAA National Championship. Schoenhut immediately joined coach Daly's staff at Tufts, starting as an undergraduate in 2015 and continuing in 2016 after graduation.”

John Grant, Jr. played his last game in a Peterborough Lakers jersey last night.

STAND UP, PHILADELPHIA!!: Holy Family University announced Jacqueline McDevitt as its new head women's lacrosse.

Lacrosse Magazine did a feature on Syracuse’s Nicole Levy.

Interested in the history of Western Australia Lacrosse from 1896-2010? Well you’re in luck because there’s a brand new book out on the subject.

What’s Up, Philly?

The Eagles pulled off a huge trade yesterday, sending former quarterback Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings for a 1st pick in 2017 and (at least) a 4th pick in 2018.

I’m happy, Sam’s happy, Minnesota’s happy, Philly’s happy .... everyone’s happy!!!

World/National News.

There was a rare double eclipse (when both the earth and the moon cross into the path of the sun) the other day.
