What’s going on, College Crosse Nation?! Thanks for making us a part of your day! Here are your links for September 22, 2016.

College Crosse News.

Taylor Cummings signed a deal with Under Armour.

''It was an easy decision,'' said Jim Bel Bruno, the company's senior director for global marketing. ''Taylor is humble, she's hungry. She is a high-character individual. Taylor by far is our most accomplished lacrosse men's and women's player.''

Make sure you read @Orangelax’s post on the upcoming Syracuse alumni game. “The seventh annual Orange Alumni Classic game will take place in the Carrier Dome on Saturday at 4 PM.”

Here’s a Syracuse.com article about the upcoming game as well. Additionally, here’s BOSS Desko talking about the game and what to expect in this highly anticipated scrimmage.

Great article from USA Today about the high costs of youth sports. Lacrosse is heavily discussed in the post.

Colleges do offer scholarship money to a limited number of elite athletes, primarily at the Division I and II levels. Parents do want the best for their kids, and if they’re able to mention at a dinner party that their child is going to Georgetown to play lacrosse, all the better.

Notre Dame released their fall schedule which includes two trips to NYC.

Hahaha ... great headline: “Derek Keenan still unsure if he'll nab son Ryan with first pick of National Lacrosse League draft.”

Great post about the Alabama University of Alabama club lacrosse team.

What’s Up, Philly?

Eagles vs. Steelers is this weekend. Here are 11 reasons why Philly’s better than Pittsburgh.

Now, we get word that a writer who covers “life and culture” in Pittsburgh – I know, culture in Pittsburgh, lol, right? – produced an “11 reasons Pittsburgh is better than Philadelphia” listicle. Oh fun.

You should read it. It’s adorable in a “look, my kid traced his hand and brought a ‘turkey’ drawing home for Thanksgiving break” way. This being Philly, and me being me (challenged to do so), here’s a point-by-point rebuttal using the established categories, because – real talk – being barely better than Erie doesn’t qualify a municipality to enter into civic competition with the place where America was born.
