Yesterday Johns Hopkins University announced that former legendary head coach and athletic director, Robert H. “Bob” Scott, passed away on September 15th. Coach Scott’s impact at JHU can’t be overstated and his passing is felt by many throughout the lacrosse community.

The Baltimore Sun had a beautiful post about the passing of coach Scott.

Scott was a giant in the sport but often said to Pietramala, "I'm just an old timer from Forest Park, Dave."

He remembered every player and co-worker's name and often the names of fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. When Pietramala visited him in the hospital a few days before his death, Scott's first question was about Pietramala's father, George.

ABC News 2 in Baltimore also aired a piece on coach Scott last night.

The Philadelphia based NLL released the home opener schedule for the 2017 NLL regular season.

Big news out of Marquette, as the Golden Eagles add former defensive standout “B.J. Grill as director of lacrosse operations, and ex-Johns Hopkins star Ryan Brown as a volunteer assistant coach.”

Former UVA 2-time champion, Jared Little, named new BOSS of St. Francis High lacrosse in CA.

Team England star, Anthony Hayes, passed away from a suspected heart attack while playing soccer with friends.

STAND UP, INDIANA!!: Westfield's Max Lax to be the official indoor lacrosse provider for the recently-opened Grand Park Events Center.

The $20 million Grand Park Event Center opened in July.
