Coach Scott Nelson Will Not Return To Binghamton.

#AnotherOne

Wow, you go away for a moment to write a farewell note to Rutgers and another name drops.

In a subdued press release, Binghamton announced that head coach Soctt Nelson, will not return to the Bearcats next year. When I say subdued, I mean it, the press release itself, is only two short paragraphs, the first announcing the news, and the second paragraph is only Coach Nelson's record at Binghamton. This release was significantly less verbose than the one Vermont released after Coach Ryan Curtis stepped down today.

Lucky for the Nation true braj, @Horton1733, forwarded over a tip that @GreenLady1015 found from the Press Connects that at least provided more background to Coach Nelson's tenure at Binghamton.

Author Lynn Worthy highlighted to Coach Nelson's rather successful career before coming to Binghamton.

Binghamton hired Nelson away from Marist College in May 2011 following a season in which he’d been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. He brought 24 years of head coaching experience and a 231-110 record with him to the Binghamton program.

His other previous head coaching posts included Brown University (six seasons), and Division III Nazareth College in Rochester (15 seasons) where he led that program to national titles in 1992, 1996 and 1997.
