College Crosse Preview
The Elite 8 is a great name. Who wouldn't want to be elite? The Final Four is obviously the round everyone wants to reach and has the most meaning. However, I think we shouldn't sleep on the Elite 8. We get 8 amazing games in a 48 hour span, and each match-up has its own unique side stories that make them really compelling. While the Final Four is the main goal, Quarterfinals means your team persevered through the season and were resilient enough to at least merit a chance at Championship Weekend. There are no shook teams from here on out.
- Maryland vs. Syracuse: The Commission Division. Two of the biggest names in the sport and Charter members of The Commission. I guess with two big giants going at it, one of them had to be the underdog and it looks like Syracuse has no issue at all putting that label on its chest. The match-up also features the unique home coming of sorts for current Terp/former Orange Dylan Maltz. If you have not had a chance yet, make sure you read @OrangeLax's preview of the game and Terrapin Station's breakdown as well. We got a chance to Chat with Mark Dixon for his thoughts on the weekend too.
- Navy vs. Brown. We Want In Division. Both teams had their own journeys to the Quarterfinals, but both are now one step away from banging down the Final Four door. Navy hasn't been to Championship Weekend since 2004. Brown hasn't been there since 1994 (Ed. Note: But shout out to whoever updated their Wiki page to add this year's Quarterfinal appearance!)
Lacrosse Magazine did an excellent piece on what navy has to do to slow down Brown. I encourage you to also check the Capital Gazette, they have been a great source for all things Navy vs. Providence this weekend. I loved their piece on Brown attackman Kylor Bellistri's deep lacrosse roots and really enjoyed Billy Wagner's breakdown of the match-up as well. - Huge breaking news. Dylan Molloy out for today's game. Here's our post on it as well.
Dylan Molloy won't play today against Navy because of a broken foot, @projo is reporting: https://t.co/Fjl9LWYGvS

I'll be around here and on Twitter all day. Can't wait for everything to get started. I'll see you out there.
Let's go with this for the song of the day. There are no shook ones on the Big Board today!
