College Crosse Recap

Brown DROPPED Hopkins, 17-8. Honestly, the score doesn't accurately reflect how one-sided this game was in favor of the Bears. Despite the fact Hop was only down 6-2 at halftime, there was never a moment when it felt like Brown wasn't in total control. Brown dominated every facet of the game and dictated the pace of the play throughout. Indeed, after halftime Brown exploded in the 3rd quarter, outscoring Hop 8-1 and never looked back.

Brown was led in scoring by Dylan Molloy, who finished with 4 goals and 4 assists. It felt like he had double those numbers. Dylan had plenty of help today, as Henry Blynn had 4 tallies and Kylor Bellistri added a hat-trick. While the Brown offense stole the show, it was their defense and faceoff game that really set the tone. Brown's goalie Jack Kelly finished with 11 saves, and routinely stymied Hop's (normally) potent offense. Furthermore, Brown absolutely owned the dot, going 20/28 at the faceoff, which helped to keep Hop's offense on ice for much of the game. Additionally, Brown outworked Hopkins on ground balls, winning 40 GBs to Hop's 24.

Brown absolutely owned this game and there was little Hop could do about it. It was a total domination. Hats off to Lars Tiffany and the Brown lads.
