|7:00||Mount St. Mary's vs. Bucknell||Patriot League Network|
Mount St. Mary's.
Mount St. Mary's comes in with a 5-3 record, after dispatching Sacred Heart 19-16 last weekend. Mark Hojnoski leads the Mount in scoring with 27 points (16 Gs & 11 As). Freshman Chris Dipretoro has contributed greatly this year,, including a hat-trick against Sacred Heart, to give him 18 points on the season (14 Gs & 4 As).
After early season close losses to Towson and Richmond, MSM went 4-1 and is one of the (many) surprises this year. Moreover, the Mountaineers have been quite impressive on offense, averaging 11 goals a game on the season. This is a pretty good Mount team.
After a great 3-0 start Bucknell has gone 3-4 and comes into today's game 6-4. Despite a rough stretch, Bucknell recorded a major upset win over Army last weekend and have a bit of juice today. The win puts them in 6th place in the Patriot League and in position to make the tournament at the end of the regular season. Bucknell is led on offense by Will Sands (23 Gs & 13 As), Tommy O'Connor (18 Gs & 12 As), and Sean Doyle (12 Gs & 15 As).
Bucknell has a chance to make the Patriot League tournament, so there is little room for error. The Bison finish the regular season with Lafayette and then Lehigh. Though this is a non-conference game, it is still very important for Bucknell to come out with the W today. After a big win over Army and reviving their conference tournament hopes, the team can ill afford to have a midweek letdown just before the home stretch.
Bucknell leads the series 14-2 lead, however, Mount St. Mary's has won the last 2 out of 3. Bucknell is undefeated at home though (MSM is 0-8 all-time at Bucknell). So the Mountaineers don't have history on their side tonight.
Game starts at 7:00, I'll see you out there!
