College Crosse Games Of The Day.

  • Hofstra vs. Stony Brook: A good selection to choose from today, but this one obviously makes the list. Despite sharing an island together, this is the first time the two have met since 2009. Hofstra  won their last match-up 12-11 in a thriller at Hofstra.

This should be an excellent game and I'm pretty stoked that it'll wrap up just before we do the pod. The contrasting styles should only add to the theater and the fact that both are ranked means this has national implications as well. We've been looking forward to this game since the schedules came out, but it's still exciting that its almost finally here.

  • Towson vs. Ohio State. Two other blog favorites meet up in Columbus for what should be a great game. OSU caught an L against Hofstra over the weekend, but they were in it through most of the game. The Buckeyes had a nice run going after their loss to UMass, but need a win tonight to get back on track, as this begins a stretch of 4 games versus top 20 opponents.

Similarly, Towson looked good through most of their game against Hopkins, but fell short against the Blue Jays. It will be interesting to see how the Tigers respond tonight after their first loss of the season. I have a feel BOSS Nadelen will have his lads ready and that we are in for a good one tonight.

  • Villanova vs. Bucknell. Of course an all-Philly match-up was going on the list! If I am not mistaken this is the first free streaming game featuring 'Nova, so it'll be a great opportunity for the Nova offense to introduce themselves to a wide audience. If you read Jayskrem's Philly Phour Phocus, you know the Wildcats are humming right now.

However, Bucknell is not bad either and they were ranked through most of the first 5 weeks of 2016. Villanova better not overlook Bucknell, as the Bison are more than a capable team. This nice PL vs. Big East mid-afternoon treat may have huge at-large consequences, as a Bucknell win would certain shake up the top 10.
Games start around 3:00.  I'll be here and on Twitter starting around 4:00.  I'll see you out there!
