3:00 | Jacksonville 8 v. St. John's 7 | Jacksonville Recap |
Beasts of the day.
- Jacksonville. This is a really nice win for the Dolphins. While St. John's is not Denver, this is still a W over the Big East for the SoCon. When it comes time to divvy up AL bids, inter-conference wins matter quite a bit. Winning an early season away game in Queens, especially coming off their performance at home against Monmouth, is definitely cause for a minor celebration in Fin Nation.
Moreover, if Vermont continues to drop 18 Gs on everyone, Jacksonville's win over the Catamounts will continue to increase in weight. The Dolphins are now 2-1 with Duke coming to Florida on the 27th. Not a bad start for the lads out of Jacksonville.
Hitters List.
- Dakota Rohlin, Jacksonville. The Temecula, CA product came with it today, notching his 5th career hat-trick. Dakota 3 goal afternoon was his second in as many games. Rohlin's last bucket with 8:27 left in the game ended up being the deciding goal in a close one against the Johnnies.
- Jason Debendictis Jason had a nice game today, bagging 3 Gs and 1 A on the afternoon. His goal and assist in the 3rd quarter helped to keep St. John's in the game and go into the 4th only down 1 to the Dolphins.
