Rutgers AD Pat Hobbs talks a bit of lacrosse in this wide-ranging Q&A.
Q: Your men's lacrosse coach, Brian Brecht, wrote in a newsletter to alums that he believes ground will be broken on soccer/lacrosse this summer, which would put Rutgers on course to open that facility in 2019. Is that the timeline you're working under?
Hobbs: "Look, my goal is to get that up out of the ground as quickly as we possibly can. We're going to be having a lot of conversations in the next 2-to-3 months with people who can be very, very supportive of that. I'm expecting those conversations to go really well. We actually had a meeting (Wednesday) morning with the architects on the soccer/lacrosse complex. So we are working with the intention that we are going to be able to celebrate another groundbreaking sometime in late spring or early summer of next year.''
Shout out to Jamaica lacrosse!!!

"We couldn't imagin1e how successful and how much fun it was to hold the first ROTB race," said Gordy Sheer, USA Luge Director of Marketing and Sponsorships. "Now we'll do it again in front of the World Cup audience at the track. The money raised will help defray the costs for our athletes to travel and compete internationally as we work our way to the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang."
