Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team signed 12-year-old Keenan Calbreath to the squad.

The perfect Christmas gift for the lacrosse fan in your life.

Great article about a youth lax program in Illinois.

It’s taken awhile, but lacrosse is finally taking off in downstate Illinois. The Illinois High School Association approved lacrosse in 2009 but never had enough participation to support a state series event. But in April, the IHSA approved a lacrosse state tournament for the spring of 2018, based on growing interest statewide.

DISC assistant manager Tony Albertina said the sport has been popular on the East Coast for many years, then caught on in Chicago and Indianapolis. Recently programs popped up in Bloomington, Springfield and Champaign, then smaller towns like Morton and Dunlap.

The park district began offering lacrosse for 8- to 15-year-olds last year and saw enough participation to expand the program 16- to 18-year-olds, and also to 4- to 7-year-olds.

Shout out to the UMass lacrosse team!!: “The University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse program raised thousands of dollars in donations for the Amherst Survival Center and worked with the Big Y supermarket chain to provide 85 Thanksgiving turkeys and hundreds of pounds of packaged side dishes for the local Western Massachusetts community.”

The CBC did a wonderful post on Grandma Rush.

She has her own bobblehead, custom jerseys and signs reading Go Rush Go. She's arguably one of the biggest Saskatchewan Rush fans, dating back to 2006 when they were known as the Edmonton Rush.

"How many people know an 80-plus woman who has a shirt that says, 'Grandma says Rush Kick Ass' on the back and on the front it says, 'Go Rush Go'," said Joyce Souka.

Souka — also known as Grandma Rush — said while she's partially disappointed the team moved down the Yellowhead Highway to Saskatoon, she's happy the team found a city that's completely bought into the team.

Nice video of Harlem Lacrosse program using what they learned from a recent Notre Dame Lacrosse video Tweet for their practice last night.

What’s Up, Philly?
